Personality:
Peri Ioma is a woman possessed by her ideas and ideals. She is consistently attempting to prove her theories correct and will often disregard evidence to the contrary, should it present itself. This is due to her adherence to Drokist scientific doctrines. It is in her nature to do her absolute best to produce an effect without regard for its consequences.
Her former status as a Director for CRPIA only complicates matters, as it was clear that she was once disciplined enough to count as a member of that organization. She now holds them in contempt, claiming that they hold back progress in science and many other fields, something she could no longer abide.
She also holds a personal animosity towards Dr. Alexander Steele as he is the one who replaced her as a CRPIA director. She considers him and his nanotech as prime threats to herself and her Vinai. It is suspected that at some point, she fell under an anomalous influence which changed her personality at some point.
Biography
Peri Ioma is the great-grand daughter of a Centerspace hero, Winston Ioma, who was one of the original rebels responsible for forming the first Resistance. Her family heritage was enough to give her access to the best schools in Centerspace, where she got a doctorate in Botany. Soon enough, she once again used her connections to become named a Director in CRPIA.
Her downfall came when several suspiciously unethical experiments came to light. When confronted, she swore allegiance to Drok’s Legacy and resigned from her position as a CRPIA director. Such was not wholly unexpected, as she had been exhibiting erratic behavior in the months preceding her resignation from the Directors.
Since she has left, she has gone to the Broken Sphere to set up a base to put her theories into practice. Set up in the Greenwood Forest Zone, she has since clearly gone full mad scientist, engineering a race of plant people known as the Vinai, as well as populating much of the zone with her other creations made mostly from a heavily modified strain of Virginia Creeper. Gene splicing to add thorns, poison, and many other nasty effects is suspected.
